BHI Scavenger Hunt Details

A Bald Head Island Scavenger Hunt is a way to take the hassle out of planning your own clues, keeping track of details and instead just go have fun. We setup the teams, using mobile apps to manage the event, and provide all the pictures and videos after the hunt is over to share however you wish.

Scavenger Hunt Basics
Each hunt is comprised of several missions that individuals or teams try to complete within a set amount of time. Typically there are more missions than can be completed. Each mission is given a point value, so teams have to think strategically about which ones they want to attempt. After each mission is completed, points are awarded and the team’s position is updated in a leaderboard which all participants can see. Our app-based solution offers real-time updates as points are earned, so you know which team is in the lead and by how much.

What is a mission?
Missions are designed to provide education and trivia about the history and unique places on Bald Head Island. Missions can be added and customized based on your unique needs or special requests. Actual mission examples are shown below:

“Wild, Wildlife” – Go to the newly constructed wildlife overlook and find something interesting. Point value: 250. BONUS: 2,500 ADDITIONAL POINTS added if you find an alligator at this location. Must be video evidence.

“I Like Big Boats and I Cannot Lie” – Take a photo or video of the largest boat you can find in the marina. Must include one or more team members in the photo (but not in the boat!). Point value: 525 points.

What does it cost?
The typical scavenger hunt costs $30 per game for up to 3 teams. Additional teams in a single game cost $10 per team. We can accommodate large groups such as weddings and corporate events. Cost includes:

– Up to 2 hour duration
– Setup and scheduling of the game
– Automatic scoring and leaderboard
– Delivery of all photos and videos captured by participants
